What is the dream you’ve started talking yourself out of?
Not because you don’t want it anymore.
But because it’s taking longer than you thought.
Or because life got busy.
Or because you’re trying to be “realistic.”
Or because some part of you is afraid to want it that much, only to be disappointed.
I know that feeling.
There have been so many moments in my own life when I could have allowed rejection, uncertainty, or what everyone else was saying to determine what I believed was possible for me.
But one of the most powerful things I’ve learned is this:
Don’t let your current circumstances
define you, derail you, or defeat you.
When I booked the best role of my career in the Emmy-nominated Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat during an industry “slow season,” it wasn’t because the circumstances were suddenly perfect.
I’d learned to stop letting those circumstances decide what was possible for me.
Your current challenges don’t determine who you’re becoming.
And that distinction matters.
Because when you allow your circumstances to determine what you believe is possible, it’s easy to start making decisions based on what you see right now instead of what you truly want to create.
You begin shrinking your dreams to
fit your circumstances instead of
expanding your identity to
meet your true desires.
But what if there were another way?
What if the answer isn’t to want your dream more, work harder, or keep searching for the next thing that’s finally going to make it happen?
What if there were an easier way to turn your dreams into reality?
I’ve spent years living, practicing, and teaching the principles that have helped me keep going, even when circumstances seemed to suggest I should stop.
And one thing I know for sure is that the way you see yourself matters just as much as the actions you take.
You don’t have to wait for everything around you to change before you begin changing your relationship with what’s possible.
So I want you to think about this:
What is the dream you still want,
even if some part of you has
started convincing yourself
you shouldn’t?
Don’t give up on it just yet. ❤️
Keep going, Sunshine.
