How To Get Over A Dry Spell In Your Acting Career

I know for some actors, last year provided the “longest dry spell ever” in your acting career, and thoughts of “I’m not enough, I haven’t done enough + I’m not far enough along” have been haunting you lately as you go to self-tape (or maybe even just get out of bed).

Well, then it’s divine timing you are reading this today, because I am here to tell you 3 important things:

  1. You are more than enough (no matter what your resume says right now).
  2. You can get to where you want to go (no matter how long the dry spell has been).
  3. The breakthrough begins within (and you’re worthy of your biggest dreams).

I’ll put it in mantra form so you can say it out loud with me…

❤️ I am more than enough (no matter what my resume says right now).

❤️ I can get to where I want to go (no matter how long the dry spell has been).

❤️ My breakthrough begins within (and I am worthy of my biggest dreams).

So what do you do next? Well, it all begins with shifting the way you FEEL first.

So, here’s the most important question you can ask yourself today:

How can I improve how I feel about myself today?

(Go ahead and screenshot this graphic + make it your phone’s wallpaper).

Yep, because until you improve how you feel about yourself, right now, with whatever you have or haven’t got, it’s going to be challenging to hear the impulses + the intuition that are calling you throughout your day.

Improve how you feel about yourself just a little bit, and ideas will come, resources will open up + you’ll begin to take actions that inspire you.

Let me know in the comments below which mantra you are going to take with you today?

1️⃣ I am more than enough (no matter what my resume says right now).

2️⃣ I can get to where I want to go (no matter how long the dry spell has been).

3️⃣ My breakthrough begins within. (and I am worthy of my biggest dreams).

Number 1, 2 or 3, or all of them?

That’s how you overcome the dry spell.
You stop judging yourself for having one.

It’s amazing how light you’ll feel when you let go of the shame cycle.

You got this.  And I am rooting for you.

Love + Gratitude,

Wendy
