I want to share this moment with you, not just to celebrate it (and take you behind-the-scenes), but to remind you that your biggest dreams are not only possible… they’re inevitable.
But it will require you to let go.
To receive everything you’ve ever wanted,
you must release the need to control
how and when it arrives.
Can you let go of the timeline?
Of telling yourself “I should be further along by now”…
Of using this business (and external validation) to prove that you are enough?
That is how I operated in my 20’s and 30’s.
Hustling to “get somewhere.”
Feeling behind in my life and career.
Feeling like everything was just out of reach.
Everything shifted when I
stopped searching outside of myself…
When I stopped leasing my worth
to bookings, accolades, and external rewards…
And instead turned inward.
I started doing the deep work of quieting my mind and trusting in the future I couldn’t yet see.
The daily work of knowing I am enough, valuable, worthy and powerful (whether I book the latest role or not).
And that’s when my every dream began to unfold.
Not because I wanted it more, but because I shifted who I was being.
My identity was no longer wrapped up in “getting the job.”
I wasn’t waiting to be chosen.
I started living as the version of me who chose herself.
I was finding joy in my life, even in the quiet times.
Even on a hot June day doing a self-tape in my garage, waiting for leaf blowers to pass by.
That is how I booked this dream role on a dream show.
And so to be here now, after decades in this business and years of helping creatives live their own dreams, to be celebrating this incredible show on the ballot For Your Emmy® Consideration in 19 Categories, and having a TV critic write:
Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat
star Wendy Braun is an Emmy-worthy villain
and a real-life hero.
It feels like my dream…multiplied.
And yes… I read that headline in the soup aisle at Gelson’s and immediately got teary-eyed.
Which also happened when I found out Amazon submitted me for
Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
I’ve played many roles over the years, but this one has been especially fun, layered, demanding – at times terrifying, at times thrilling (like walking a high wire without a net) – and so deeply rewarding. Hearing it described this way felt incredibly meaningful.

And on top of all that, we also had our “For Your Emmy Consideration” event…
It was such a beautiful day celebrating our show and everything that went into bringing it to life…
From our cast photoshoot…
To the executive producer panel (and our beloved hero, Anthony)…
To the rooftop celebration overlooking Capitol Records…
Surrounded by Television Academy members, friends, and creatives…
It was one of those days where you just pause and take it all in.
Press play below and join me for the fun.
What I’m realizing now is this:
My entire journey led me to this moment.
The years of honing my craft doing student films,
short films, stand up-comedy, improv, live theater,
dance, voice, even martial arts…
And the decades building a career in television and film.
And the past ten years coaching, speaking, teaching, leading live events, traveling the world to meet my students, and walking alongside this incredible community of creative warriors…
All of it mattered.
All of it was preparing me.
Nothing was wasted.
Every step was building the foundation
for what I’m stepping into now.
All of that experience was needed to play Elizabeth Prescott and be part of this phenomenal show.
So if you’re in a quiet season, please hear this:
This is when seeds are planted.
This is where the roots are growing.
Even when it seems like nothing is breaking through on the surface…
The roots of a tree grow deep first.
So the tree can stand tall, bend with the wind, and weather every storm.
Your dreams are the seed.
Water them, nurture them, and trust they will unfold organically.
Don’t dig them up wondering why they haven’t bloomed yet.
Tend to your inner world.
Weed the garden of your mind.
Lean toward the light…
And #KeepGoingSunshine. ☀️
Love + Gratitude,
Wendy
