What 17 Live Interviews Taught Me (That I Didn’t Expect)

Tuesday morning, I spent two hours going LIVE with 17+ TV stations across the country on a Broadcast Media Tour for Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat, alongside our Executive Producer (and actor/writer on the show), Chris Kula.

17 live morning show interviews.
Back-to-back.
And a 4:30am call time.

Which meant a 3:00am wake-up…And yes, I set 6 alarms for 3:00, 3:05, 3:10, 3:20… plus two more in other rooms.
Because let’s be honest, when you’re going live across the U.S., oversleeping is not an option. 😅

Watch the 30-second behind-the-scenes recap 👇

And somewhere in between interviews…between smiling, listening to each host, answering questions, and making sure I was looking in the right camera, I had this moment where I just paused and took it all in.

Because I could feel how different I was inside the experience.

More grounded.
More present.
More able to actually enjoy it.

And I know that’s not by accident.

There was a time when doing something like this would have felt like pressure. (Although I will say… after filming a high-pressure, high-stakes show like this, everything else starts to feel a little easier.)

But there was a time when I would’ve been thinking:

Am I saying the right thing?
Do I look okay?
What’s the next question?

Trying to “get it right.”

But this time felt different.

It felt like trust.
It felt like home.

And honestly, it felt like the next natural step on my decades-long journey.

Like I could just show up, be myself, and let it unfold.

And that’s what really struck me.

What I didn’t expect was how calm it would feel.
How present I could be inside something that used to feel like pressure.

And I realized, that didn’t happen because the moment was easier.
It happened because of the inner work.

I realize, from the outside, it might look like:
“Oh wow, 17 morning shows! That’s exciting!”

And it is.

But the real win is who it requires you to become along the way.

The version of you who can hold it all without shrinking.
Without spiraling.
Without staying stuck in your head.
Without missing the moment.

The ability to actually be there for it.
To enjoy it.
To not rush past it or overthink it.

That part is earned.

And yes, there are practical things that help: getting up early, arriving on time, being prepared, knowing your talking points, and staying grounded.
But that’s the part most people don’t see.

Which is why I want you to know…
You, my creative warrior friend, are building that right now.

How do I know?
Because it’s built in the quiet moments.
In the daily practices you commit to.
In the way you learn to steady your mind and come back to yourself again and again.

That’s what allows you to be ready when the moment arrives.

Not just professionally. But emotionally. Mentally. Energetically.

So if you’re in a season right now where things feel slow… or unclear… or like they haven’t “happened” yet…

Just know: You’re on the right path. You’re evolving in real time (even if you can’t see the results yet).

And just like nature, things blossom when you least expect it…
(not when you’re digging up the seeds demanding them to grow 😉)

So just for today…

See if you can trust that you are
becoming the version of you who is ready
to receive everything you’ve been asking for.

Because that part matters more than anything.

The goal isn’t just to get the opportunity.
It’s to actually be there for it fully when it arrives.

I hope my journey, my story, and my teachings inspire you to #KeepGoingSunshine.

Declare this in the comments (and say it out loud):
👉 “I am ready to receive everything I’ve been asking for.”

Then take one small action today from the version of you who is already living your dreams.

And if you want support stepping into that next version of you, you can download this free guided meditation: Creating Success While You Sleep

This soothing audio will help you quiet your mind and begin aligning your subconscious with the future you’re stepping into.

Rooting for your success (and joy along the way).

P.S. The final 3 episodes of Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat drop April 3 on Prime Video (Amazon)… can’t wait for you to see how it all unfolds. 🎬

  1. Hi Wendy!
    Great blog.
Is someone with you, taping you or did you bring something like a tripod or stand?
    Just curious.
    Love from Canada

    1. Thanks! My amazing husband came with me on this, and my manager was with me at the premiere event, and they were both so gracious and helpful in capturing behind-the-scenes footage. As I mention in the blog, I do all the “fun stuff” afterwards, so I can focus on the interview. And leave “high kicks” for after the fact. 🙂

  2. So inspiring Wendy! Just started Season 2 and love seeing you getting your due in the industry!! I have been listening to Louise Hay ever morning before getting out of bed, then come to you….and then 10 minutes of Daimoku a bit later. And no news blasting in the morning as had been my “normal.” I love you – so thankful to you and so PROUD of you!!!!! Roz “I am ready to receive everything I’ve been asking for.”

    1. YES! Way to be a “conscious creator” and not a “rapid reactor.” Sounds like an intentional morning practice has been so helpful! Thanks for your kind words and I have no doubt that you are stepping into your best chapter yet.

  3. And to continue, they could not have picked a better person as their spokesperson. You have been doing this in Actor Inspiration – your creation- for many, many years and are so qualified. They are very lucky to have you!

    1. Thanks so much! It was truly wonderful to speak about this show and that at it’s core the mission is to shine a light on the goodness in humanity.

  4. What a transformation in your life. You have worked on yourself and helped others. And by helping others, you are constantly working on yourself! You are just amazing!

    1. Aw, thanks Janet! So appreciate your support – and that you’ve been with me on this journey and in this community for so many years! xoxo

Thanks Wendy for your inspiration and including us in your Journey. I’m happy to have gotten in a couple of scenes in Dream Eater which is on Netflix, but now I want more. Was given lead role in a short independant film which is more pressure but the best things in life are on the other side of comfort 🙂 Cheers David Richard

        1. YES! You are so welcome and congrats on it all. As we make the best of everything that comes our way, we open ourselves up to more. So cheers to it all!
